Wait, what was ClimateU again?
ClimateU officially launched in February 2022 on a mission to bring more global funding and talent to the European climate-tech ecosystem. You could say we’re trying to be the open-source and public Crunchbase and Remote OK of climate-tech.
We address three audiences:

Job Seekers, and
Companies,
who want to make a difference.

💰 Last week’s funding rounds (05/09 - 05/15 )
💨 Carbon Clean, a UK-based provider of carbon capture solutions for heavy industry, raised $150M in Series C funding, led by Chevron alongside CEMEX Ventures, Marubeni Corporation, WAVE Equity Partners, AXA IM Alts, Samsung Ventures, Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, and TC Energy.
🧑🌾 Sencrop, a France-based network of connected ag-weather stations for farmers, raised $18M in a Series B, led by Jerusalem Venture Partners, with participation from EIT Food, Demeter, Bpifrance, Stellar Impact, IRD Management, and NCI Waterstart.
🚲 GetHenry, a Berlin-based last-mile delivery e-bike provider, raised €16.5M in Seed funding, led by LocalGlobe, with participation from Visionaries Club, Founder Collective, EnBW New Ventures, GreenPoint Partners, SpeedUp Ventures, Third Sphere as well as angel investors Fredrik Hjelm, Roger Hassan, and Jan Dzulko.
👚 UNOWN, a Hamburg-based end-to-end platform for the post-ownership fashion industry, raised a round, led by Übermorgen Ventures' Adrian Bührer, with participation from APX, Vealo Ventures, Nicolas Brunschwig, Loïc Brunschwig, Maximilian Böck, Thomas Adank, Hermann Arnold, and Christopher Olsienkiewicz.
🏗 Concrete4Change, a UK-based R&D company on a mission to decarbonize the concrete industry, raised a pre-seed round from Sustainable Ventures.
New Funds
⚡️ Emerald Technology Ventures, the Zurich-based investor led by Gina Domanig, just raised a new €250M fund. It will be focusing on €10M - €15M tickets in Europe within Energy (40-50% of the fund), water, industrial tech, agriculture, food, transport, robotics, and advanced materials.

👚 Rebolet (2018), a Berlin-based re-commerce platform on a mission to turn e-commerce returns and overstock into sustainable profits.
👨🔬 ViridiCO2 Ltd. (2020), a UK-based ChemTech startup, enables manufacturers to derive chemical products using CO2 whilst directly replacing traditional petrochemicals.
♻️ Glasbote GmbH (2021), a Germany-based package-free online shop for groceries, delivered the same day by bicycle.
💸 Bageera (2021), a London-based platform for natural capital assets.

Filter for companies that raised their last round in a certain quarter.
For Job Seekers
💼 Employer Database
We launched a directory of European climate-tech employers including startups, consultancies, investors, and corporates. We will soon also add non-profits.
👨💻 Job Board
We launched the MVP of the job board to get some feedback on the filters we need and the data we should collect. We now approach climate-tech investors to share their portfolio companies’ job openings with us. Please get in touch if your startup, fund, consultancy, or your portfolio company is hiring.
